About the region: Davao is situated on the Filipino island of Mindanao. We were the first chocolate makers to ever create a single-origin chocolate bar using cocoa beans from the Philippines. We began doing so in February 2009 after working for over a year and a half to directly source cocoa beans from this exclusive and exotic region of Davao. Since we began our direct trade relationship with Peter Cruz and the Davao cocoa farmers, the quality of the bean and post-harvest practices continue to improve, resulting in extraordinary chocolate.
