This single origin dark chocolate includes directly sourced cocoa beans from the region of Cortés, Honduras at 70% (67% cocoa liquor and 3% cocoa butter, made in our factory) and certified organic cane sugar at 30%.
Tasting Notes: intriguing bursts of citrus, molasses, sharp stonefruit, and woodiness. Slightly tannic with vibrant pops of flavor and a drying finish.
About the region: The farm is just a few miles away from the Port of Cortés, which makes the logistics of shipping cocoa beans much easier for both the farmers and us. This geographical area has a long history of cocoa farming that dates back to the Mayan civilization.
