Director of Sales & Marketing
Lawren Askinosie has been involved in this chocolate adventure since its inception. Still in high school when her father transitioned from courtroom to factory, she assisted him in almost every facet of their new life as chocolate makers—from working the storefront to developing marketing material. Upon graduation from a liberal arts university, with degrees in Writing, Arts Administration, and Global Studies, she jumped into chocolate factory life full time. Although her degree seemingly had little to do with the chocolate biz, it quickly became clear that her varied background and innate curiosity would serve her well in the wide array of tasks she tackles on a day-to-day basis. It also helps that Lawren has a passion for chocolate and the people around the world who make it happen. As the Director of Sales & Marketing, Lawren helps create and share the Askinosie Chocolate story to customers, fans, followers, retail partners, cocoa bean farmers, media, and anyone else who will listen and makes sure that all of the factory’s endeavors (both products and projects) align with the mission and story.
Lawren’s high-octane ambition mirrors her father’s, and together they work to make the highest-quality chocolate possible. Married (her husband, Scott, handles the Science & Technology for the factory) with three dogs, Lawren loves traveling (for work and pleasure), restoring her 100-year-old home (hello, Youtube!), a dry glass of champagne (after said restoration projects… actually, pretty much anytime), entertaining, live music, and learning new things. One of her greatest interests is the fashion world, which she is regularly scheming to find ways to connect with the world of chocolate.
